Congratulations to Katie Nykanen, Women in IT – CTO of the Year

Adstream is delighted to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Katie Nykanen, has been awarded CTO of the Year award at the Women in IT Awards, held in London on Wednesday, 30 January 2019.

The award is given to a female CTO who has demonstrated innovation, IT excellence and leadership over the last 18 months. The judging panel looked at projects and achievements spanning the nominees current organisation (or others if applicable), along with examples of best practice, leadership, ROI generated and alignment to business goals.

Adstream Global CEO, Daniel Mark on Katie winning the award – “The award is a recognition of Katie’s hard work and a credit to both her and our Adstream technology team. We will continue to invest in supporting not only excellence in technology and innovation, but in championing women in leadership positions.”

Delighted with her accolade, Katie said, “I am extremely proud to have won this award…it’s great recognition of the excellent work my team and I do every day, building great technology for our customers. As a female leader in Technology I am very passionate about encouraging women to pursue technical careers and awards like this are a great showcase for how many women are doing great things in IT!”

The Women in IT Awards series aims to tackle the issue of a declining amount of women entering the technology industry and a lack of female IT leaders globally. The Awards aim redress the gender imbalance by showcasing the achievements of women in the sector and identifying new role models.

We’d also like to send our congratulations to the other finalists, Anna Dick from Hiring Hub and Doina Popa from Barclays.
