Global HD commercials delivery extends adstream offering
Aug 05, 2010
Multinational media technology group Adstream has just handled
the transfer of some of the first HD commercial content to be
delivered around the world, proving that global HD commercial
delivery isn't coming - it's already here.
The content has been delivered in a range of markets, including
USA, Canada and Holland for broadcast, and the UK for cinema
distribution. With all major broadcasters in the Netherlands -
including STER, RTL and SBS - now broadcasting all of their
channels via HD, Adstream Netherlands has recently worked with all
the key broadcast players helping them through the HD test phase.
Adstream Netherlands now provides the first network in the country
with proven capability to deliver commercials in HD directly to
broadcasters.
Taco at Adstream Netherlands said: "All elements of
postproduction output are now in HD. Of course SD is still there,
but with broadcasters such as SBS all deliveries are now HD as
standard. This is a huge step for us now to be able to handle the
delivery of HD commercial content."
Meanwhile, Adstream USA has just completed the management and
distribution of an HD TV Delivery campaign to Canada and the USA
direct to TV Stations. A total of 10 spots were delivered for this
GSPSF/Specialized campaign.
Emmelie Forsyth, head of broadcast, Adstream USA, said: "The
majority of broadcasters in the US accept HD files and play-out in
HD. The Canadian market is also increasing its HD capabilities.
This campaign is the first of its kind for Adstream USA, and in
fact was a first for any Adstream office globally. Adstream is HD
ready for TV deliveries in the USA and Canada, it's time to spread
the word
