Mike Smit
Managing Director, South Africa
Mike Smit, Managing Director of Adstream South Africa since June
2011, is based in Cape Town with offices in Johannesburg.
Starting his career in broadcasting in the 70's and having
founded the Video Lab and Condor VFX Cape Town, Mike has been a key
player in the post-production arena. In 2001 Mike Founded Media
Host, which pioneered the era of digital delivery of commercials in
South Africa. June 2011 saw Media Host begin trading as Adstream SA
after concluding a licence agreement to bring Adstream's broad
portfolio of solutions to the South Africa market.
Mike is married with three grown up children, and enjoys hiking,
cycling and other outdoor activities. One of his hidden talents
includes being a skilfull helicopter pilot.
